Description | Teachers spend lots of time and energy on assessment in the elementary grades—making it critical that these assessments actually inform teaching. In this workshop, presenters will help teachers understand the possibilities and limitations of various assessment tools that are commonly used across a grade band, including both screeners and diagnostic assessments. They will then explore ways to put that information into action in both whole-class teaching and differentiated small-group instruction—in ways that are systematic enough to make an impact, while sustainable enough for the whirlwind of a classroom setting. |
