Presenter Bio(s) | Marianne Peters is a shareholder and attorney at MLM. Her law practice includes all aspects of school law, with a primary focus in school policy, Title IX, general and special education, student discipline, and student services. Marianne has litigated cases at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Superior Court and District Court, as well as administrative agencies such as the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Bureau of Special Education Appeals (BSEA). In addition to her representation of school districts, she is a frequent lecturer at professional conferences, workshops, and seminars on general and special education topics throughout Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Marianne worked as a school psychologist in a public school system, and during law school she interned with the Honorable Judge Vickie Henry of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She has been with the firm since 2018. |
