Home-Based Services
ACCEPT’s Home-Based Services are provided and supervised by highly qualified and experienced professionals who hold a master’s degree and are licensed as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and are Licensed Applied Behavior Analysts (LABA). Parents are active partners and a integral support in helping their child reach their individual goals. Therapists providing direct services hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Each therapist undergoes training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and many have additional certifications, such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Safety-Care. Staff participate in on-going professional development activities to help them stay abreast of current research and best practices.

At the heart of the ACCEPT approach is the individual tailoring of services created to address each student’s needs. Home–Based staff support and supplement school programs by working with parents and caregivers to maximize the social, behavioral, and educational potential of their child in the home and community. ACCEPT staff use a strength-based approach to teach skills and strategies.

Our home services provide an opportunity to integrate the effective strategies being used at school into the student’s home and community life. Programming objectives are observable, measurable, and data-driven. A variety of assessments are used to determine the individualized objectives, scope and sequence, and service model for each family.

Models that are utilized including:
• Parent training model
• Parent consultation model
• Direct Service model
• Other (e.g., Individualized-Short term need models)
Home assessments include:
• Home Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
• Adaptive Living Skills Assessment (Home and Community)
