Presenter Bio(s) | Dr. Hollenbeck has practiced in public school settings for more than 30 years as both an occupational therapist and special education administrator. She has presented extensively at local, state, and national levels sharing her expertise in school practice, secondary transition, and leadership. She is an active contributor as author and editor to professional publications on best practices including peer-reviewed journals, articles, chapters, and textbooks. She is the MAOT liaison to the MA DESE and first author of the Guidelines for Provision of Occupational Therapy Services in Massachusetts Public Schools. |
Description | The new Massachusetts IEP format emphasizes a more collaborative, student-centered process. This 2-part interactive workshop will focus on how to shape your evaluation practices to align with the intent and structure of the new IEP—streamlining your process while increasing your impact. We’ll explore how to identify and report on what matters most for student access, participation, and progress in their educational setting. You’ll leave with practical strategies for writing more efficient, relevant evaluations and contributing meaningful information to a collaborative team process that leads to stronger, more actionable IEPs.
