Description

This interactive session is designed to help staff and leaders navigate conflict and challenging conversations through a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens. Participants will explore how unconscious bias, power dynamics, and social identity shape workplace conflict, and learn inclusive strategies for de-escalation and dialogue. The session emphasizes accountability over defensiveness, offering practical tools to respond to harm, rebuild trust, and foster psychological safety. This training supports both individual and organizational growth in building more inclusive and resilient teams.


Topics to be covered 

  • Deepen understanding of how bias, power, and identity influence conflict in diverse workplaces.

  • Learn and apply de-escalation techniques that prioritize safety, empathy, and relationship repair.

  • Develop skills to shift from defensiveness to accountability when navigating harm or tension.

  • Identify strategies to support inclusive communication and intervene as active bystanders.

  • Explore practical steps into everyday work culture.
